Volunteer

We need volunteers to fill in various roles such as setting up or packing food, working our food distributions, and helping with offsite food recovery and food deliveries. Without our volunteers, much of our work would not be possible.

Nourishing Bethesda is switching to a new, powerful volunteer database called Volgistics—an upgrade that we promise will make your volunteer experience even more seamless.

All volunteer opportunities beginning in August 2026 will be coordinated using Volgistics. To gain access to the new system, every volunteer, both current and new, will need to take just a minute to complete the updated Volunteer Waiver Form 2026 and the Volgistics application form.

Once both forms are submitted and reviewed by our team, volunteers will be notified that they are able to sign up for available shifts via Volgistics’ volunteer portal, Vicnet. The credentials created within the Volgistics application form will translate to Vicnet’s login.
