Elspeth joined Nourishing Bethesda in the summer of 2026 following 5 years on the fundraising team at our partner organization, the Capital Area Food Bank. Elspeth brings a wealth of development expertise, specializing in event planning, community building, and major donor engagement strategies. Her favorite part of fundraising is writing handwritten thank-you notes and communicating impact face-to-face with donors and community stakeholders. Elspeth has a background in Sociology, Creative Writing, and Poverty and Human Capability Studies from Washington and Lee University.
